Should the city of Atlanta impose a ban on smoking in city-owned public parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, golf courses, and walking trails?

I actually like this idea. I see it as a tremendous step towards creating a city with clean air.

Bad idea. This is an affront to personal liberties.

If we really want to be concerned about "clean air", why not start by reducing the number of cars polluting the highways. Smokers are an easy target I guess.

I have nothing against smokers. Just don't do it around my kids. If you're smoking at a public park, that means children might have to be subjected to your second hand smoke. And that is NOT okay.

Smoking is bad for you and everyone around you. I, for one, have no problem with making laws that promote living a healthier, longer life.

We can't smoke inside. We can't smoke outside. We can't smoke in bars. We can't smoke in cars. Where does everyone expect me to enjoy myself with a nicotine break. In a box? With a fox?   >:-(
